I am a Swiss / Vietnamese documentary filmmaker based in New York City since 1999. I make films about music, art & culture.

My Swiss/Japanese feature documentary “Negative: Nothing” had a 3 years theatrical run in Japan, Germany and Switzerland and been licensed among others by SWISS Airlines and the UPLINK theater in Tokyo. Before that I was on the roaster of the music show “Newtown Sessions” (*VICE/NOISEY). My most recent project “Record New York” is a music series featuring raw and impromptu performances in unusual locations around New York City.

I have also extensively worked as editor and director of photography over the past 15 years. My work has been featured on The Creators Project, VICE, NOISEY and The New York Times. The most recent project I shot as Director of Photography is the comedy “The Nobodies” by Greg Bratman and Dusty Brown featuring comedian Jim Gaffigan, Ellie Kemper (The Office) and Jack McBrayer (30 Rock).

I currently produce video content for the Guggenheim Museum.

I am a director and co-founder of production company Thom Pictures. I also work as dp/videographer and editor for a number of agencies, production and design companies in New York.
